CALUM MCINTYRE is allowing himself to enjoy the pivotal moments this season - and they don't come any more dramatic than a stoppage time winner to triumph on bank holiday Monday!

Kurt Willoughby supplied the coup-de-grace with his injury time winner in a 3-2 success over Scarborough Athletic at the Deva Stadium.

Blues' boss McIntyre told Chester FC TV: "We all love the sport and we love what it is, and that is the moments that you have to enjoy.

"So, yeah, I was determined to enjoy it. It was kind of like my new season resolution.

"Unbelievable goal, unbelievable player, unbelievable guy.

"The fans love him and quite rightly and he's almost gone 'I'll put one in the top corner on Saturday and then I'll go, ah, I'll top it'.

"That's why we think a lot of him and I think it's brilliant for the supporters that they have the rapport they have with a player like that.

"So, an unbelievable moment and there aren't many players at this level that can do that like the way that Kurt can.

"He's a talent and I'm delighted that he got his goal that, by the way, I think we deserved."

Charlie Caton netted twice as Chester recovered from an early deficit, while Frank Mulhern's close-range effort looked to have salvaged a point for Scarborough.

Then, in the second minute of stoppage time, Willoughby's strike from outside the box won it.

McIntyre, who is now preparing for Saturday's home clash with Peterborough Sports, added: "I think you can almost lose sight of that (deserved to win) in the drama.

"Disappointed with some aspects of the game, but I think it would have been disappointing if we hadn't won that game given some aspects of the performance."
