PAUL MULLIN was a sharp-dressed man at the PFA awards.

Here is Wrexham’s star striker at the awards evening in Manchester where he and Reds’ team-mate Elliot Lee missed out on the League Two player of the year award to Notts County midfielder Jodi Jones.

However the duo, who both played their part as Wrexham finished second to secure a second successive promotion and return to League One, were named in the League Two team of the year as voted for by players.

All eyes will be on The Racecourse on Saturday to see if Mullin makes manager Phil Parkinson’s squad for the League One clash at home to Reading.

Mullin, who scored 26 goals in all competitions last season to take his tally for the club to 105 in three seasons, had minor spinal surgery in June and hasn't played so far in 2024-25 but the 29-year-old is back in full training.

"Mulls is having a full week of training this week and we will assess him towards the end of the week," said Parkinson, who has seen Wrexham pick up four points from the opening two games in the absence of Mullin.

"His injury is absolutely fine, there are no problems with that at all.

"It is just getting him fit now and getting some more training in him combined with some fitness work.

"He's having his mini pre-season now but each day he is progressing so we are pleased with that."
