PHIL PARKINSON has not ruled out more comings and goings at The Racecourse before the transfer window closes.

Seven new signings arrived at The Racecourse ahead of Saturday's 3-2 win against Wycombe Wanderers on the opening day of the League One season.

Midfielder Ollie Rathbone, brought in from Rotherham United for a club record transfer fee last Friday, was not involved at the weekend but is set to feature against Sheffield United in tonight's Carabao Cup first round at Bramall Lane.

On the possibility of more new arrivals, Parkinson said: "We are assessing it all the time.

"I am delighted with Ollie, I think he is a player our supporters will enjoy watching play.

"He is energetic but he has got real craft as well and he can play as an eight or off a striker, he is gives us a bit of versatility.

"He only came in on Friday, he did a bit of a session on the pitch on Saturday so we get him ready for Tuesday if he is selected."

Clubs in League One are limited to a 22-man squad, although that number does not include goalkeepers or players who were under the age of 21 at the start of the calendar year.
Midfielder Jordan Davies has joined Grimsby Town on a season-long loan and Parkinson says more players could leave now that he has exceed the squad limit size.

"We have got to get the numbers right, everybody knows that," added the Reds' boss.

"We were looking at Jordan going out, we were speaking to Rotherham about Ollie and they happened together - we needed it to.

"It is great for Jordan to get his move. You can be a good lad as a squad player for so long but another season of not starting games, I think the time was right to let him go. He will be great for Grimsby."
