PONTBLYDDYN have ended leaders Northop seconds’ unbeaten run in Division One.

They gained a comfortable 91-run victory after setting 184 for nine (James Hughes 50, Rhys Johnson 2-29). Three wickets each from Ioan Jones, Ryan White and Osian Jones made sure Northop’s innings was halted on 93.

Mold maintained their promotion push via a crucial 22-run triumph at home to Abergele, who were dismissed for 194 (Ranjith Thozhuthingal 52, Isaac Allen 3-39).

Earlier in the day, Allen (60) and Ewan Hill (52) helped Mold to amass 216 for seven (Sebin Sebastion 4-42).

Hawarden Park got the better of Connah’s Quay after reaching 155 for four (Campbell Marr 45). Brody Camp (51) and Mali Auty (45) were the top contributors in Quay’s 154 (Ian Martin, pictured right, 6-20).

Adam Shaw (3-40) and Jack Gibson (79 not out) impressed as Buckley gained a six-wicket victory over Conwy, while Halkyn stunned second-placed Bethesda with a five-wicket outcome.

Ben Roberts (4-11) and Ryan Ferguson (3-13) played their part as the hosts were all out for 111 and Halkyn replied with 116 for five.

Brymbo seconds were edged out by 14 runs at Dolgellau.
