A THRILLING end to the League One season is in store - and head coach Carl Forster says North Wales Crusaders will battle every step of the way in their efforts to reach the play-offs.
Crusaders kept their hopes of achieving a top-six finish alive with their superb 28-24 triumph away to Workington Town on Sunday.
Two out of Crusaders, Workington and Midlands Hurricanes will occupy the final two play-off berths and Forster told CruCast: “We’ve just got to keep going until it’s mathematically impossible that we can’t do something with our season.”
Cru looked to be out of it when they trailed Workington by 16 points in the first half.
However, tries from skipper Chris Barratt (2), Ben Evans, Pat Ah Van (pictured above) and Ben Lane completed a crucial success for Crusaders.
North Wales are seventh in the standings, but they have a game in hand over both of their play-off rivals with a month of the regular season left to play.
Forster always goes out with a positive mindset and he stressed: “As a coach, I put my team out to win every single game and people can call me stupid for believing that we can win every game.
“That’s my opinion and that’s the opinion within the group as well.”
