DEFENDER Jordan Tunnicliffe is now a free agent after his contract issue with Wrexham was sorted out.
The centre-back, who arrived at The Racecourse in the summer of 2022 from Crawley Town, was told he wasn't being offered a new deal by Reds boss Phil Parkinson in May.
It was believed Tunnicliffe's deal had come to an end but it was discovered that an error was made when the 30-year-old's contract was drawn up and the expiry date on the document was June 2025 rather than June 2024.
When asked for comment, a club spokesperson stated: “We can confirm a settlement has been reached and we wish the player the best of luck in his future endeavours.”
During his two seasons with Wrexham, Tunnicliffe made 41 appearances with 32 of those coming in the league.
He also scored two goals during the 2022-23 season, in wins away at Solihull Moors and Dagenham & Redbridge as Wrexham clinched the National League title.
