PHIL PARKINSON said it was great for Wrexham to complete an unbeaten North American tour with both of the co-owners in attendance.

The Reds completed a successful Wrex Coast Tour on Saturday via a 4-1 win at MSL side Vancouver Whitecaps.

Rob McElhenney has been travelling with the Reds throughout the tour, which has seen draws against Premier League AFC Bournemouth and Chelsea, but Ryan Reynolds was able to attend the closing friendly in his home city.

Wrexham boss Parkinson said: "It is great when Rob and Ryan are here and I'm so pleased they were.

"Rob's been with us on tour. Obviously, Ryan's been incredibly busy with his movie and the PR for that.

"But, if they say they're going to be somewhere, they're there and I think that was fantastic that Ryan was here today and being his home city and he's done a lot of travelling in the last few weeks.

"You could see that, but, listen, I think that's enormous credit to him to make sure he was here today."

Goals from Seb Revan, James McClean, Elliot Lee and Jordan Davies saw Wrexham through to a comfortable victory in front of almost 35,000 at BC Place.

Wrexham may have been painting the town slightly red after the conclusion of the tour and there were question marks about whether Reynolds would be able to join them!

"Before, Ryan came in and I had a chance to catch up with him and that was great and hopefully he'll come out for a beer with us tonight if he can get in the nightclub!" added Parkinson.

"I'm not sure they'll let him in!"
