PENYFFORDD LIONS lifted two cups last season and boss Stuart Tunnicliffe wants to make room for another in their trophy cabinet.

“Winning two cups is hard to follow but we think silverware is a realistic achievement again,” said Tunnicliffe, who has added Nathan Large and Brandon Jones to his ranks ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Rhuddlan Town.

“We also have other signings pending and hope to have them over the line for this coming weekend.

“Considering our last game was on May 24, we’ve had less than two months for pre-season preparations.”

Greenfield boss Scott Beck feels the same and ahead of their trip to Y Felinheli, he said: “The new season has come around very fast.

“It’s obviously a tough trip facing Y Felinheli, who finished last season with a strong run and they also had an impressive home record. But I believe if we play to our full potential then we can come away with a win.”

Connah’s Quay Town head to Llanrug United with manager Gavin Parry pleased with the squad at his disposal.

“We’ve managed to secure seven signings that will all improve both our starting XI and add depth to our squad.”
