FC QUEEN’S PARK top the first North East Wales Premier Division table of the season.
Sean Skimmings scored twice in a 4-0 win over FC Plas Madoc with Matthew Bithell and Liam Davies also on target.
Mynydd Isa’s Sam Wainwright also netted a double with Mark Atkinson grabbing the other in a 3-0 victory at Saltney Town.
Will Roberts was another to score twice as Rhostyllen beat Castell Alun 3-1. Taylor Williams got the other with Luca Nardo replying.
It ended 2-2 between Greenfield (Ryan Carrington/Dean Hyland) against Hawarden Rangers, for whom Connor Parry bagged both.
Lex XI and Penyffordd Lions played out a 1-1 draw. Harry Massey gave the hosts the lead but Marcus Davies hit back.
In the Championship, newboys Broughton United, Brymbo and Holywell United all fired home five goals.
Lewis Hopwood (2), Josh Jones, Ethan Evans and Jake Jones scored in Broughton’s 5-1 win over Aston Park Rangers for whom Robbie Williams hit back.
Rhys Powell’s hat-trick helped Holywell to a 5-1 home win against Cei Connah. Kieran Durkan and Owen Marley also scored.
Brymbo’s marksmen in a 5-0 thrashing of Skippy were Shane Wellings (2), Josh Hughes, Tom Potts and Matthew Rees.
It ended goal-less between Johnstown and Overton Recreational while Nathan Williams, Aaron North and Sam Roberts netted in Rhydymwyn’s 3-1 win at Sychdyn United, who hit back through Adam Woosey.
