MOLD THIRDS continue to lead the way in the Sunday East League following a nine-wicket win over Bersham Thirds.
Oliver Jones picked up five for 28 in Bersham’s 94 all out, before Louis Boulton (54) and Henry Roberts (34 not out) helped Mold to 95 for one.
Gwersyllt Park Thirds got the better of Connah’s Quay after setting 199 (Cellan Pearson 40, Rhys Jones 3-20).
Cole Hooson (32) top scored in Quay’s 162.
Hawarden Park Fourths secured a 14-run triumph from their trip to Buckley, who had Sam Booth (5-14) and Ravichandran Vinojan (4-16) in fine form. James Taylor (34) and Maahir Bhardwaj (6-13) impressed for Park.
Northop Hall Fourths defeated Pontblyddyn Thirds by eight wickets, while Halkyn secured a four-wicket success over Northop.
Elgan Skillander (66) led the way in Northop’s initial 128 for seven (Dylan Wilson 3-18) and Aaron Thomas’ knock of 59 helped Halkyn to 129 for five.
Chirk seconds played out a draw at Cae Glas seconds in Division Seven of the Shropshire League. A good all-round effort saw Hidayat Haroonkhail score 47 and claim 3-15.
There was also a drawn contest for Northop Hall seconds at home to Caldy seconds in the Liverpool Competition. Matthew Edwards picked up five wickets for Hall.
