NORTHOP HALL wasted little time in continuing their fine run of form in the Liverpool Competition.

It was the bowlers to the fore as Hall bagged a seven-wicket success away to Caldy in Division Two action.

Nathan Roett finished with superb figures of six for 18 as Caldy were skittled for just 53 inside 20 overs.

Liam Evans Ford chipped in with two wickets for Northop Hall, who replied with 54 for three (Roett 25 not out, Andrew Watkin 22 not out).

Chirk had to be satisfied with a winning draw from their home Shropshire League meeting with Wroxeter & Uppington.

Batting first, Chirk were able to compile 248 all out.

Gareth Partridge (93), Liam Walker (38) and Andrew Swarbrick (27) were the chief contributors, as Pasindu Kulathilaka snapped up four for 40.

Rain caused the match to be abandoned with the visitors on 60 for three in the 16th over.

Kulathilaka was undefeated on 32, as Swarbrick, Luke Gardner and Nick Flack claimed a wicket apiece.
