SEBASTIAN REVAN has been brought in to keep out the opposition but the left-back wants to score goals and add assists for Wrexham.

The 21-year-old has arrived at The Racecourse from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a contract until 2027 with an option to extend his stay by an additional year.

Part of the Villa team that beat Liverpool 2-1 in the 2020-21 FA Youth Cup final, Revan made his competitive debut for the Premier League club in a UEFA Europa Conference League tie against Hibernian last August.

He then joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan, making 36 appearances in the Championship in 2023-24.

On signing for Wrexham, Revan - brought in before the Reds left for the pre-season tour to North America - told the official club website: “I’m delighted to get the deal done. I can’t wait to get started and show everyone what I can do.

“It’s going to be great going to the USA and Canada. I’ll hopefully get some minutes and the opportunity to impress and get my season started.

“I want to help take the club as high up the table as we can and add both goals and assists to my game and also the team’s.”

Reds’ boss Phil Parkinson is delighted to land Revan.

He said: “Seb is a player that stood out for us from his performances in the Championship and he is only going to improve with us.

“He offers us great versatility because he can play both on the right and the left. He’s a good young player and we’re delighted to have him on board.”

Parkinson has also competed the signing of goalkeeper Callum Burton, who has signed a deal until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

The 27-year-old spent the last three seasons at Plymouth Argyle, making 32 appearances, and he arrives on a free transfer after leaving the Championship club.

Since starting his career at Shrewsbury, experienced stopper Burton has had stints with Hull City, Salford City and Chesterfield before moving to Cambridge United where he played alongside Wrexham striker Paul Mullin.

Burton, who celebrated promotion with Cambridge and Plymouth, told the official club website “I’m really excited to join the club. I spoke to the manager, and he told me about the project, and it definitely was the place I wanted to come and play my football.

“The timing of signing couldn’t be better. It’s the perfect time for me to come in and meet all of the lads on the tour and it will be a nice way to settle myself in.”

Parkinson said: “Callum’s profile is perfect for what we need to complement our goalkeeping department. We’re all really looking forward to working with him over the next two years.”
