WREXHAM manager Phil Parkinson has completed the double signing of left-back Sebastian Revan and goalkeeper Callum Burton.
Revan, who spent the majority of last season on loan at Rotherham United, has joined from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee and signed a contract with the Reds until 2027, with an option to extend his stay by an additional year.
Free agent Burton, most recently with Plymouth Argyle, has penned a two-year deal keeping him at The Racecourse until 2026.
Parkinson, preparing for the 2024-25 League One campaign, has now brought in five players this summer with goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, centre-back Lewis Brunt and midfielder George Dobson the other new arrivals.
Revan, 21, came through the youth system at Villa and he made his competitive debut for the under 21 side in an EFL Trophy clash at Sunderland in September 2020 before going on to play two more matches in the competition that season.
Part of the winning FA Youth Cup team that term, Revan signed for Grimsby Town on a season-long loan in July 2021.
He made his National League debut for Grimsby in a 0–0 draw against Stockport County in August 2021 and two months later, scored his first senior goals when he netted a brace in a 5–0 win at Bromsgrove in the FA Cup.
Recalled by Villa in January 2022 after making six league appearances for the Mariners, Revan joined National League North club Hereford on loan until the end of the campaign.
Back with the Villa Park outfit for 2022-23, Revan made two appearances in the EFL Trophy and appeared in a Premier League squad for the first time in April 2023, as an unused substitute in a 2-1 victory at Leicester City.
In August 2023, he was an unused substitute in Villa's UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying play-off first leg against Hibernian but made his senior competitive debut for the club in the second leg, playing the full 90 minutes.
The next day, Revan signed a contract extension and joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan, going on to make 36 appearances in the Championship in 2023-24.
Meanwhile, Burton, 27, started his career at Shrewsbury and he had loan spells with Market Drayton Town, Workington, Nuneaton Town, Southport, Nuneaton Town and AFC Telford United during his time at The Croud Stadium.
After making one senior appearance for Shrewsbury - a 3-0 League One defeat at Swindon Town in May 2016 - Burton signed for Championship side Hull City for an undisclosed fee in July 2017.
He had loan stints with Salford City and Chesterfield but was released by Hull at the end of the 2018-19 campaign without playing a first-team game.
In June 2019, Burton joined Cambridge United and during his two seasons with the U's he made 50 appearances in all competitions.
Snapped up by Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2021, Burton played 32 times for Argyle in three campaigns but was released in May.
