BRYMBO finished top of the North Wales League’s T20 Premier tournament after beating Bangor in Saturday’s top two tussle at Ty Newydd.

Connor Davies hit an unbeaten 64 and Jason Underwood (pictured above) was 44 not out as Brymbo responded to Bangor’s 121 for nine with 122 for two. Adam De Rycke took 3-9 for Brymbo.

Brymbo’s first game at Menai Bridge was cut short with the hosts on 143 for seven, Mohamed Jayman landing 3-28.

Gresford lost both their games - the first by 41 runs at Bangor.

Robbie Marshall’s 48 helped steer the hosts to 147 for seven while Gresford mustered only 106 for six in reply.

Chris Ellwood took 3-21 and top scored with 40 for Gresford, who then lost to Menai Bridge by eight wickets.

All six ties at Northop and Gwersyllt Park were called off.
