CARL FORSTER has been full of praise for North Wales Crusaders’ “crazy” supporters!
Cru fans have had recent trips to Newcastle and Cornwall to contend with, but they’ve continued to turn out in force during Crusaders’ push to reach the end-of-season League One play-offs.
Head coach Forster told CruCast: “Obviously, we thank them every week.
“We appreciate it, whether it’s Cornwall or it’s a home fixture, Workington away.
“We know they’ll follow us and sometimes, even on bad performances, they’re still there applauding after the game.
“I think I said something last year about we came off a game, I think Hunslet away, and we lost and you’d have thought we’d won, because they just appreciate effort and that’s what we do always give them.
“But, you know, just from myself and the lads, it’s just a huge thank-you, because...life’s tough at the minute financially and they’re obviously choosing to spend their money, their weekends away, probably giving up a holiday or two, to follow us and we’ve just got to keep repaying them with two points, whether it’s pretty or it isn’t.
“They want to see us win and, obviously, knowing the fans like I know them, our result probably makes or breaks their weekend.
“So, they’re a top bunch and a little bit crazy! But we love that crazy!”
