ROB MASSAM wants to do his best to make sure North Wales Crusaders extend the League 1 season.
It’s been a mixed season so far for the Crusaders, who are sixth in the standings following their 32-18 loss at the hands of Midlands Hurricanes.
However, Carl Forster’s Cru side have shown they can mix it with the best, losing by a solitary point against title favourites Oldham earlier in the campaign.
Asked if Crusaders can pick up a few scalps as the season continues, Massam, whose side head to second-placed Oldham on Sunday, said: “I definitely think we can.
“That’s the good thing with Crusaders, like you can’t write us off, ever.
“You saw that last year. Just got that sort of vibe about us and it’s a good bunch of lads as well.
“They’re enjoying their rugby and enjoying each others company, so I don’t see why there’s any reason they can’t push.
“Just get these games under their belt and put themselves into a good position for the bigger games later in the year.”
