NORTHOP HALL shouldn’t fear anyone in the Liverpool Competition this season.

Ben Slater’s side claimed their best win of the season last time out against leaders Hightown St Marys, who suffered their first loss of the campaign.

The returning James Hurlin was in fine form with a five-wicket return during that win and Northop Hall will be looking to follow it up at home to Norley Hall tomorrow.

It’s a home meeting with Shifnal Seconds for fifth-placed Chirk, who were a solitary wicket away from victory in their last spot of action.

Despite a six-wicket return from skipper Luke Gardner, Fornton clung on at 162 for nine for a draw, after good efforts from Oliver Gough, Andrew Swarbrick and Nick Flack set Chirk up for 224 for eight.

Leaders Chirk Seconds travel to Pontesbury Seconds in Division Seven.

It’s a huge weekend for Chester Boughton Hall with a battle of the top-two in the Cheshire County League.

Second-placed Hall travel to top-of-the-table Hyde tomorrow.

Hall are four points behind leaders Hyde and they also have a Cheshire Cup clash at Didsbury on Sunday.
