CONNAH’S QUAY will need to refocus as they look to continue their promotion push from Division One tomorrow.

Quay, who head to Hawarden Park tomorrow, were left frustrated when the wet weather halted their match at Buckley last weekend.

Quay captain Darren Leach said: “It was frustrating because Conwy and Mold played.

“Bethesda and Northop were off, so there was no point lost to them.

“I thought we were pulling away nicely, but Conwy and Mold are back in the mix, not that they were not going to be in the mix.”

Leach is anticipating a tough trip to Hawarden tomorrow and he added: “Especially the middle overs, that will be the real test.

“They have got some really good slow bowling in that middle period.

“Campbell Marr has been a more than handy option for them over the years. The middle period of their bowling spell will have a big say.”

Cole Hooson is unavailable for Quay while a trip to Conwy is in the offing for Buckley.

Mold are also on their travels to Abergele while Halkyn have home advantage versus Bethesda.

Marchwiel and Wrexham continue to comfortably lead the way in Division Two and they will be aiming to maintain their promising form at Bersham.

Second-placed Llay have a long trip to Menai Bridge Seconds.

Double-headers are becoming the norm for Brymbo!

Dan Parry’s side made progress in the Welsh Cup with victory in the last round over Gresford, on the same weekend they played them in the league.

Last year’s semi-finalists are back in cup action this Sunday with a tough trip to Gwersyllt Park, who they play in the North Wales League tomorrow.

Park captain Iroshan De Silva will field a strong side in a competition his side are taking seriously.
