NORTHOP HALL are on a bit of a run at the moment and they’ll be looking to keep this going tomorrow.

Ben Slater’s side have won three in a row in all competitions ahead of their Liverpool Competition clash at home to Alder.

“Obviously, the bowling’s been really positive for us,” said Slater. “The batting’s coming together for us now.

“It’s three wins on the bounce for us in all competitions and we want to keep that going.”

Slater is anticipating a similar encounter to last week’s five-wicket win over Whitefield (Roby) and Hall are set to go into tomorrow’s clash with an unchanged line-up.

Northop Hall Seconds will travel to Fleetwood Hesketh Seconds.

It might be prudent to keep a box of balls spare just in case Gareth Partridge gets going for Chirk again tomorrow!

Newtown is the destination for Luke Gardner’s side in the Shropshire League, seven days on from Partridge’s brilliant 151 not out from 97 deliveries in the eight-wicket win over Ellesmere.

“He didn’t give them a single chance,” said Gardner. “He was just relentless. It was so good to watch.

“In the space of two overs, he lost four balls! Two of them went over the road!

“It almost got to the point where they ran out of spare balls.”

Gardner believes the attacks will decide who tomorrow’s victors will be.

“It’s how well the bowlers do,” he added.

Wynn Jones will come into the Chirk line-up for the Division One clash.

Chirk Seconds are at home to Albrighton Seconds in Division Seven.
