MOLD have become familiar with thrillers this season and the weekend witnessed another one!
Tom North (56) and skipper Isaac Allen (37) helped Mold to 177 for nine, before hosts Conwy were restricted to 173 for nine (Daniel Davies 75, Munowar Samsodien 2-15).
Leaders Northop Seconds defeated Hawarden Park by 74 runs. David Foulkes (55 not out) and James Roberts (52) starred in Northop’s 166 for seven (Michael Wootton 3-39) and Park were dismissed for 92. Fabio Franco and Sion Ferguson took three wickets apiece.
Darren Leach (5-19) and Brody Camp (4-32) impressed in Connah’s Quay’s 67-run success at Abergele, while Buckley got the better of Pontblyddyn by seven wickets.
B Mackriel’s 64 helped Pontblyddyn to 181 for seven and Rocco Franco struck a sparking 100 not out in Buckley’s 182 for three.
On the topic of tons, Joss Roberts hit an undefeated 101 in Brymbo Seconds’ eight-wicket loss to Bethesda.
Alex North and Muhammad Bajwa both struck 34 in Halkyn’s 29-run triumph versus Dolgellau.
