CARL FORSTER knows the tough challenge North Wales Crusaders have in front of them this weekend.
Oldham, who are gunning for the title, are second in League One and they’re heading to Colwyn Bay’s Stadiwm CSM tomorrow.
A defeat to Keighley Cougars last time out ended Oldham’s unbeaten start to the league campaign, which may give Crusaders a boost, while North Wales won away to Oldham during last season’s epic run to the grand final of the play-offs.
Head coach Forster told CruCast: “Keighley’s just proven that they can be beat.
“We can’t really lean on last year, if I’m going to be honest.
“I think you can count on one hand how many players were there last year that are there this year, but they’re a Championship-quality side.
“But, at the end of the day, it’s a game of rugby.
“It’s 80 minutes and as you’ve seen (on Sunday) and as you’ve seen previously, you turn up and you play well, you’ve got a chance.
“You turn up and you’re not on the money, then you’ve got no chance.”
There has been a boost on the player front for Crusaders.
Pat Rainford (pictured above) is back from suspension and he could feature tomorrow.
Meanwhile, vice-captain Owain Abel, who has been suffering with a knee injury, is expected back in a fortnight.
