LEE FOWLER says the addition of Steve Evans to Flint Town United’s backroom team will “add massive value”.
Former Wrexham and Wales defender Evans, who left his role as manager at Colwyn Bay at the end of the season, has joined up with the Silkmen as assistant manager.
Manager Fowler told the club’s website: “I’ve known Evo for a long time and he is someone I trust.
“He will add massive value, firstly to myself, and also to the players and to the club as a whole.
“I am well aware that he has the drive and ambition to be a manager again, and we will cross that bridge when we come to it, at some point in the future.
“But both parties are well aware of the situation, and honesty and transparency are key from the off.
“In the meantime, I’m greatly looking forward to working with him and seeing what he will bring to the club.”
Evans (pictured above) added: “Although I’m still ambitious of becoming a manager in the future, I see this as a fantastic opportunity for both myself and Flint.
“I’ll be coming in to provide assistance to Lee and with my extensive experience in the Welsh Premier League, I’m confident I can bring valuable knowledge and a positive attitude to the club.
“I can’t wait to dive in and get started.”
