CHRIS TAYLOR was in fine form as Brymbo got the better of Northop by eight wickets in the North Wales Cricket League’s T20 competition.
Taylor struck a run-a-ball 55 not out as Brymbo reached a winning 119 for two with nine balls to spare.
Pete Pienaar (38) top scored in Northop’s 117 for four (Connor Davies 2-20).
Elsewhere, Bangor thrashed Menai Bridge by 104 runs while in Division Two, Llay gained an eight-wicket success at home to Gresford Seconds. Joe Howell (30 not out) and Jacob Roberts (four for 11) impressed for Llay.
Hawarden Park Seconds’ promising start to the Division Three season continued with their seven-wicket victory versus Gwersyllt Park Seconds, who were dismissed for 82 (Dafydd Millington 42, Evan Shaw 3-13). Aled Wilkinson (30 not out) then helped Park to 86 for three.
Mold Seconds defeated Halkyn Seconds after setting 163 for eight (Chris Boulton 80, Finlay Rooke Hart 3-20, Ryan Ferguson 3-33). Sam Hamilton struck 71 in Halkyn’s 141 (Craig Roberts 3-20).
Buckley Seconds defeated Conwy Seconds by four wickets, while Pwllheli gained a nine-wicket triumph over Denbigh Seconds.
In Division Four, Mynydd Isa & Maeshafn claimed a 69-run success over Llanrwst Seconds after setting 148 for nine (Deepak Loguchetty 55, Alwyn Williams 5-17). Jonathan Fagan bagged three for 13 when Llanrwst replied with 79 for seven.
Ruthin Seconds beat Llandudno Seconds by 103 runs.
