STEVE EVANS has bolstered the backroom staff at Flint Town United.
Evans, who left his role as manager at Colwyn Bay at the end of the season, has joined up with the Silkmen as assistant manager.
He will be boss Lee Fowler’s number two as Flint return to life in the Cymru Premier League following their promotion this season.
Evans, the former Wrexham and Wales defender, told Flint’s website: “I’m thrilled to be joining Flint Football Club and teaming up with Lee, whom I’ve known for quite some time.
“This opportunity not only allows me to stay connected to the game but also offers me a rare chance to swiftly re-enter football following my time at Colwyn Bay.”
Meanwhile, Jamie Breese has opted to remain with Cymru North champions Holywell Town.
Breese was a January signing from Llanidloes Town and his goals during the second half of the campaign played a major role in Johnny Haseldin’s side claiming the championship.
In further good news for Holywell, Jake Cooke, Ryan Edwards, skipper Danny Andrews, Beau Cornish and Sam Kersh will also remain on board for the club’s title defence.
