JUNIOR footballers are sure to be up for the cups during what is sure to be an action-packed weekend.
Ruthin will play host to a mammoth 13 North East Wales FA cup finals over the coming three days - and the majority of them are amongst the junior and youth ranks.
It all gets underway at 10am tomorrow with the U13 girls’ cup final between Brymbo Lodge and Brickfield Rangers.
Soon afterwards - at 10.15am - the boys’ U16s cup final between Hawarden and Gresford Athletic will kick-off, with Buckley Town U14s taking on Airbus U14s in the U15 girls’ showpiece from 11am.
Then, it’s time for the final of the boys U14s’ cup at 12.30pm, between Coedpoeth United Celts and Rhos Aelwyd.
Another busy day of finals action is scheduled for Sunday morning. There are 10am kick-offs for the boys’ U12 and U15 cups.
In the younger final, Cefn Mawr Rangers will tackle Gresford Athletic, while Aston Park Rangers meet FC Borras Park Albion in the U15s’ showpiece.
At 10.10am, the first whistle will sound in the U13s’ cup final between Greenfield and Borras Park Albion.
The weekend of finals will then draw to a close with Ewloe Harriers’ clash versus Caerwys in the U19s’ cup getting underway at 10.30am.
Ewloe will be eyeing up the possibility of revenge after they lost out 5-0 to Caerwys in the Flintshire Youth League last week.
Caerwys are clear at the top of the table and they’re looking sound bets to claim the Division One crown this season.
