ELLIOT LEE won't make bold predictions on how far Wrexham can progress through the divisions but the playmaker believes the foundations are in place for the success story to continue at The Racecourse.
Phil Parkinson's men have enjoyed another memorable season and are celebrating a second promotion in a row for the first time in the club's history after clinching a top-three finish in League Two.
Lee was brought in nearly two years ago and he helped the Reds win the National League title following a record-breaking 2022-23 campaign.
Previous club Luton achieved the same feat in 2014 and continued climbing the pyramid, reaching the Premier League nine years later.
Lee won't go as far as suggest Wrexham can follow suit but the 29-year-old, who scored 16 goals this term and was voted Players' Player of the Season by his team-mates, believes the future is bright and that the Reds - owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - are heading in the right direction.
"You don't get ahead of yourself," said the attacking midfielder, the only player who featured in every league game in 2023-24.
"The club has the potential to go all the way with the backing from the owners, the group of players we have now and the staff.
"I have always said it reminds me of Luton. You get a great environment for people to come and work in every day, come in with a smile on their face and work hard, great staff, great players, great people around the club and owners, then special things can happen.
"I have said that in all my time I have been here. It's exactly what we had at Luton and look at them now in the Premier League.
"I'm not saying we will be in the Premier League any time soon but we have got all the foundations to be a really successful club.
"I love being here, it is incredible to be here, it is a club like no other with the owners, the people that come and watch us and the support we have worldwide.
"It comes with a pressure but it's a pressure all the lads have handled so well.
"We know the ambition of the club and we know the club is only going one way."
