WREXHAM produced one of their best away performances of the campaign and registered what could a huge win in the race for promotion from League Two.
The form on the road has been a worry but the Reds passed a huge test by beating play-off contenders Morecambe 3-1 at The Mazuma Stadium.
Going behind after only four minutes was hardly the best start and Wrexham struggled to get into the game after that early set-back.
But when James McClean equalised in the 32nd minute, there was only one team in it after that.
After the Shrimps were left with 10 men, Paul Mullin scored his 17th goal of the season from the penalty spot and substitute Steven Fletcher's late strike secured a thoroughly deserved win, and it could have been by more following a superb display.
Here's how the players rated.
ARTHUR OKONKWO: Won’t be happy with Morecambe’s goal but responded with a couple of vital saves. 7
RYAN BARNETT: The wing-backs came more into the game after Wrexham’s slow start and were a big attacking threat. 7
MAX CLEWORTH: Continues to impress and is enjoying a fine run in the side. 7
EOGHAN O’CONNELL: Has been a rock at the heart of defence since coming into the team. 8
WILL BOYLE: Wrexham’s defence was solid after getting off the worst possible start. 7
JACOB MENDY: Was kept on the defensive in the opening half-hour but that changed. 7
JAMES MCCLEAN: Is having an impact in midfield, scored a well-taken equaliser and had an assist for Fletcher. 8
ANDY CANNON: Ran the show in midfield. Won a lot of second balls and dictated play as the Reds bossed the game after equalising. 9
ELLIOT LEE: Lively display as Lee caused lots of problems after Wrexham made it 1-1 and won the penalty. 8
PAUL MULLIN: Capitalised on defensive error to set-up the equaliser and cool head from the penalty spot. Running into form at the right time! 8
OLLIE PALMER: Linked up well with Mullin and he forced the foul which left Morecambe with 10 men. 7
SUBSTITUTES
