IT does happen once in a blue moon - and that aquamarine satellite was seen on Tuesday!
All three of us at Leader sports tower initially predicted a 1-1 draw between the Reds and the MK Dons.
Just to make things different, I amended my prediction to 2-2 - and I’m definitely taking the morale-victory on that front.
Did the ball cross the line when Arthur Okonkwo fumbled a Dons’ shot after the break? Officially, no, but VAR may have had a differing viewpoint.
That official in the sky may have also changed a decision late in the contest when Ollie Palmer was manhandled to the ground in the six-yard box. No spot-kick was awarded, but it certainly looked to be a stonewall one for me.
One thing is for certain... nobody is likely to be able to predict Phil Parkinson’s starting XI for the trip to Priestfield Stadium.
Parkinson hasn’t been afraid to rotate his players during a busy month and I expect the same approach at Gillingham. Of course, that makes our predictions a whole lot harder... and I’m sticking with my one-all shout this time!
OUR PREDICTIONS:
GILLINGHAM 0 WREXHAM 1 NICK HARRISON
GILLINGHAM 1 WREXHAM 2 RICHARD WILLIAMS
GILLINGHAM 1 WREXHAM 1 SHAUN DAVIES
SCORES SO FAR... RICHARD WILLIAMS 38; SHAUN DAVIES 34; NICK HARRISON 32
