JAKE BICKERSTAFF has committed his future to Wrexham by signing a new contract to the end of the 2025-26 season.

The striker has been a part of Phil Parkinson's plans this term and made his first league start for the club since 2020, bagging his first two EFL goals against Walsall and Swindon Town.

Having made a total of 13 appearances so dar in all competitions in 2023-24, the 22-year-old now has six goals in his Reds' career.

He came through the ranks at The Racecourse and scored on his debut for the senior side when he struck in the Scottish Challenge Cup victory against Ayr United in 2019, but didn’t make any league appearances during the Reds’ National League title-winning season, although he netted three times in two FA Trophy appearances.

On penning a new deal, Bickerstaff told the official club website: “I’m buzzing to be honest. I’ve been at the club for so long now and I’m happy to commit my future to Wrexham.

“I’ve really enjoyed the past few months, I’ve played more and I’ve scored and I’m looking forward to the future.”

A National League Youth Alliance Division H champion, alongside current Wrexham team-mate Max Cleworth, Bickerstaff has also enjoyed loan spells with Caernarfon Town and Nantwich Town.

Manager Phil Parkinson said: “Jake’s earned his new contract. He’s a player we feel who has potential and we look forward to seeing him develop further over the course of his new contract.”
