AND so ends Wrexham’s best year in almost half-a-century!
Pretty much everything has gone to plan for Phil Parkinson’s side during an epic 2023 - and this has been the Reds’ best year since 1978.
Ahead of today’s trip to Walsall, Wrexham have lost only four league over the course of the calendar year and that consistency has been frightening.
The parallels between the two years include memorable FA Cup runs and, of course, winning a league title.
The way Wrexham claimed the National League crown will be remembered for years to come, just like how we still talk about the 7-1 thrashing of Rotherham back in ‘78.
Paul Mullin’s second half brace versus Boreham Wood will be shown for years... and, spookily, both of these title-winning triumphs arrived on Saturday, April 22!
Roll on Saturday, April 22 2028, I say!
