THERE were a lot of lows during Wrexham’s 15-year non-league nightmare.
Losing to Newport County in the 2013 Conference play-off final was a day to forget as the promotion dream came to an end.
But a decade later and the Reds are back in the Football League - and they are not doing bad either!
Wrexham are third in League Two and within touching distance of leaders Stockport County heading into tomorrow’s ‘reunion’ with the Exiles at The Racecourse.
It is an eagerly awaited Welsh derby which definitely has added spice and what better way than to start a busy schedule than to pick up three points against one of your rivals.
Phil Parkinson’s side - like all clubs in the division - have four games in 10 days over the festive period and Wrexham will be looking to cement their place among the frontrunners.
The Cae Ras is the place to be tomorrow and it would be fitting if the final home game of a memorable 2023 ended in a Reds win.
