The Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is gearing up for its final meet of the season - the Corbettsports Christmas Special.
The Christmas special at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse will be held on Friday, December 15 with gates opening at 10.30am.
The race day schedule includes seven events and is set to be a special festive occasion.
Event organisers from Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse said: "Bangor-On-Dee’s unique set-up allows spectators to continue to enjoy this noble, historic and thrilling sport as the Christmas festivities begin, in an entirely unique way.

Ahead of next Friday's (December 15) race meet, here is all you need to know from how to but tickets to the dress code at the racecourse.

However, there are still Paddock and Open Course tickets available that can be purchased on the racecourse's website here.

There are set to be seven races for The Corbettsports Christmas Special:
- 12:20 pm - The Corbettsports Handicap Steeple Chase
- 12:55 pm - The Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Handicap steeple chase
- 1:30 pm - The Alfa Aggregate Products Golden Spurs steeple chase
- 2:05 pm - The Corbettsports Handicap hurdle race
- 2:35 pm - The Corbettsports Novices' hurdle race
- 3:10 pm - The Weatherbys and Birdie Calendars 'Hands and Heels' Handicap hurdle race
- 3:42 pm - The JBF Group Open National Hunt flat race
Food and drink at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse
For those not in hospitality, there are a range of food and drink options within the racecourse grounds including The Paddock Enclosure food court.
Racegoers in the open course area are also able to bring picnics (including alcohol) and BBQs are permitted.
Dress code at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse
The Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse website says: "Like fashion, the dress code at Bangor-on-Dee has seasons."
"In winter, it’s especially important to be comfortable and dress for the elements."
It adds: "A good deal of walking is involved and is part and parcel for any racecourse visit, often on grassy ground so please be practical when it comes to footwear and dressing for the elements."
If you are dining in one of the hospitality facilities the racecourse website says you are unable to wear "denim, trainers and sportswear".
If anyone is attending as part of a celebration (eg Hen or Stag party) they are advised to contact the Box Office (ph: 01244 304 600) for further advice.
If you are feeling particularly festive you could turn up in your favourite Christmas Jumper and enter the ‘Best Dressed Competition’, for your chance to win an early Christmas present.

Getting to Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse
Driving
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is just 25 minutes from the city of Chester and is well-signposted from the A483 southbound.
If you’re using a Sat Nav, enter the postcode: LL13 0DA.
There is car parking on site at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse which is free to racegoers on race day.
Taxis
According to the Racecourse website: "A number of taxi firms operate within the local area. It is recommended that you book ahead to ensure your arrival/departure is not delayed."
Train
Wrexham General Station is the closest to the racecourse and a free bus service operates to and from the racecourse on race days.
Bus
The Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse website says the Wrexham Council operates a bus service locally.
