TOMORROW is the type of match Wrexham need to win if they’re to be classed as genuine title challengers.
After what can only be described as a testing opening couple of months back in League Two, Phil Parkinson’s side have gradually found their feet at this level and they deserve their spot in the top-three.
It’s all about staying there between now and May - and that could prove to be tricky.
Accrington Stanley and Milton Keynes Dons - two of three sides to defeat the Reds this season - are outside the play-off spots and the likes of Barrow, Mansfield Town, Crewe Alex and Notts County are just waiting in the wings to capitalise on any Wrexham slip-ups over the coming months.
Tomorrow’s hosts Forest Green Rovers, with just 20 goals this season, are level with Harrogate at the foot of the scoring charts, so the Reds should feel confident about securing a clean sheet.
There’s an abundance of options at the other end of the pitch and I’m hoping for a straight-forward success against a side that is battling against relegation.
OUR PREDICTIONS:
FOREST GREEN ROVERS 1 WREXHAM 2 NICK HARRISON
FOREST GREEN ROVERS 0 WREXHAM 2 RICHARD WILLIAMS
FOREST GREEN ROVERS 0 WREXHAM 2 SHAUN DAVIES
SCORES SO FAR... SHAUN DAVIES 23; RICHARD WILLIAMS 21; NICK HARRISON 19
