INTERIM boss Asa Hamilton says there will be changes to the Buckley Town line-up for tomorrow’s Welsh Cup fourth round trip to fellow Cymru North outfit Porthmadog.

Hamilton was left fuming after his team let slip a two-goal advantage versus Bangor 1876 to lose 3-2 in their latest league contest and after that loss, he told the club’s Facebook page: “There will be changes next week.

“I don’t care who you are in this team any more.

“I’ve got to be honest, we’ve got to start winning games of football.”

Hamilton cut a hugely frustrated figure last week after two efforts from Connor Littler had Buckley 2-0 up at half-time against Bangor.

However, in the final 10 minutes, Sam Jones (2) and Corrig McGonigle turned the match on its head.

“I love all the boys and they’re still my best pals and I think the world of them,” added Hamilton. “But maybe I need to start being a bit more cut-throat.”

It’s now a spell away from the battle against Cymru North relegation for Town, though, and Hamilton stressed: “We’ve got a cup game and... if after what I’ve just said to them boys in there doesn’t turn them around and change them, I don’t know what will.”

There’s an all-Cymru Premier League contest in the last-16 as Colwyn Bay have home advantage versus Barry Town United.

Both sides go into the match on the back of league losses, with Steve Evans’ Seagulls being beaten 4-2 at Newtown, while Barry suffered a 7-0 thrashing at second-placed Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Speaking to Bay’s YouTube channel after last week’s defeat, manager Evans said: “It’s a change from the league.

“It’s in the cup. You know, we’ll look to get in that quarter-final and if we perform like we did Wednesday, last Saturday and for the 45 minutes we did today, we’ll be just fine.”

Cymru Premier League leaders The New Saints are chasing silverware on four fronts this season and they will be looking to progress as they pay a visit to Cymru South high-flyers Carmarthen Town.

Head coach Craig Harrison (pictured below) told the club’s YouTube channel: “We’re in a good position at this moment in time.

“With Carmarthen away, we know it’s going to be a tough game.

“We’ve had the opportunity to see them, so we’ve seen them with our own eyes.

“I think they’re third in the Cymru South, so they’ve obviously got a lot of experience as a manager with Mark Aizlewood and they’ve still got four-or-five players there that are theoretically Welsh Premier League players.

“They’ve got lots of experience as well, so it’s certainly not one we’re taking for granted or lightly.”

Bala Town are also on their travels to Cymru South opponents as they tackle Caerau Ely, while Haverfordwest County host Cardiff Met in tomorrow’s other tie.

Tonight, Llanelli Town go to Briton Ferry Llansawel.
