SOPHIE HODSON has been in impressive form for Adran North front-runners Connah’s Quay Nomads this season.

Hodson grabbed her first ever hat-trick for the side during last weekend’s 5-2 success over NFA, which saw Jordan Parry’s unbeaten charges return to the top of the standings.

This Sunday sees Nomads paying a visit to Y Felinheli as they look to maintain their 100 per cent winning record and Hodson will be aiming to maintain her good form.

After Connah’s Quay made it five wins for the campaign, Hodson told the club’s X site: “It’s not every game you come away scoring three goals so to end the game today with three feels really good.

“Playing in the striker role always comes with pressure to score and win games for your team, so to play a big part in our win today is something special.

“Every single one of the girls put in a shift and every goal was a product of the girls’ hard work and the coach’s vision.

“I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season... to continue to grow as a player and I think as an individual and as a team, we’re determined to prove Welsh women’s football what we are capable of.”

Airbus UK Broughton will be looking to continue their promising week on Sunday.

Airbus will return to Adran North action with Sunday’s home clash versus Bangor.

Connah’s Quay Nomads’ biggest challengers for the league crown this time around are 2021-22 champions Llandudno and they will be looking for their fifth success of the season as they play host to third-placed Rhyl 1879.

Adran North’s remaining match of the weekend sees NFA at home to Llanfair United.

There’s one match-up in the Adran Premier League on Sunday.

The New Saints will be favourites to claim the three points from their home encounter against Pontypridd United.
