WHAT a run Cheshire Phoenix are on ahead of another pivotal British Basketball League weekend.
The Phoenix have won their last four matches and Ben Thomas’ second-placed side will look to maintain this fine form during a double-header against bitter rivals Caledonia Gladiators, which will perhaps be their biggest test yet.
Nix head north tonight, before they have home advantage on Sunday.
Thomas said: “We’ll scout them (Caledonia) this week... we’ll be ready for them on Friday.”
Their fine run is Cheshire’s first four-game winning streak since February 2022.
In their last run-out, Phoenix eased to a 100-80 triumph versus Surrey Scorchers.
It was great for the Nix Nation to see star man Aaryn Rai back to his best.
Rai continually bulldozed his way through the defence and linked up exceptionally with captain Maceo Jack and Laquincy Rideau.
Other fixtures: Tonight: Manchester v Plymouth. Saturday: Surrey v Newcastle; Leicester v Manchester. Sunday: Sheffield v Bristol; Plymouth v Surrey.
