CAPTAIN James Parsons is back in action - and Deeside Dragons are hoping Charlie Spridgeon is also available soon.

The Dragons, who face Sheffield Scimitars and Blackburn Hawks this weekend, have been without Spridgeon since the early portion of the North Division One season.

Asked when he could be back, assistant head coach Matt Compton said: “It’s probably going to be Christmas, if not just after the New Year.

“He is healing well and it will be good to get him back.

“He was doing so well and he’s only in his early 20s. It will be great to have him back.

“He’s there in the changing room in every home game.

“Obviously, when he’s back, there’s difficult decisions to make.

“But it’s a good position to be in.”
