BUCKLEY TOWN have opened their search for a new manager immediately.

On Tuesday, the Globe club announced the departure of manager Jason Aldcroft, who replaced previous boss Dan Moore over the summer.

A club statement read: “We can confirm that first team manager Jason Aldcroft has today left the club.

“Jason has a long history with Buckley Town FC and we thank him for his efforts during what has been a challenging period.

“Jason is a fantastic coach and we are disappointed it hasn’t worked out as we’d hoped on this occasion. We wish him well for the future.

“The process of appointing a new first team manager will begin immediately, with further announcements to follow in due course as and when management roles are confirmed.”

There has been managerial joy at Flintshire rivals Holywell Town.

Wellmen boss Johnny Haseldin has been named as Cymru North’s manager of the month for September.

Holywell’s strong start to the season continued into the month, with two wins and a draw meaning they remained unbeaten at the top of the table.

A 4-0 win over Prestatyn Town took Haseldin’s side to the top of the table, prior to a draw with Flint and a victory over Caersws.

Former Llay Welfare player Matthew Worrall, now with Denbigh Town, was named as Cymru North’s player of the month.

The player accolade in the Cymru Premier League has gone to Connah’s Quay Nomads’ Jordan Davies.

It’s been a seamless return to Nomads for Davies, who is currently the top flight’s top scorer with 10 goals.

Six of these came in September to help his team win every game, including braces against both Barry Town United and Penybont.

Newtown’s Chris Hughes has been named as the Cymru Premier League’s manager of the month.

They started September with just one point from four matches and were only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

But a remarkable turnaround saw Newtown climb to third place. Hughes led the Robins to six consecutive wins last month, while they kept a clean sheet in four of those.
