LEON HAYES has gone from helping North Wales Crusaders’ promotion push to playing against last season’s Super League champions!
Hayes, a key part of Crusaders’ epic push in the League 1 play-offs, has been recalled by Warrington Wolves and he started in last week’s 18-6 loss to St Helens.
Player-coach Carl Forster told the Crusaders’ website: “I would like to say a massive good luck to Leon. He has become one of our own, so as gutted as we are to lose him, I think myself - everyone at the club - (are) really proud of him and he does deserve his shot.
“He’s played exceptionally well for us.”
Crusaders complete their season with Sunday’s trip to Doncaster in the grand final of the League 1 play-offs.
