PHIL PARKINSON hailed supporters for sticking with his players as Wrexham produced an amazing comeback to rescue an unlikely point against Swindon Town.
After trailing 4-1 following a poor first half performance, the Reds hit back to draw 5-5 on an incredible afternoon at The STóK Cae Ras.
Although Wrexham scored twice to reduce the deficit early in the second period, it looked like game over when Swindon bagged a fifth goal but Parkinson's men struck twice in added time to secure a share of the spoils.
There have been similar comebacks under Parkinson who never doubted his side could get something out of the contest, and he praised fans for their backing.
"The atmosphere was incredible," said the Reds' boss.
"I have said it many times but we have had games like Dover when we were getting beat and came back to win where the crowd believed in the group.
"This club has got a spirit and everyone that comes in the ground shows that.
"The fans stayed right with us and the players responded so I am pleased to come away with a point.
"We won on Tuesday, we will take four points, but we need a review of a lot of things this week and we will be working on the training ground to improve.
"We have just got to make sure we regroup, take the point and definitely take some positives.
"I don't want to be too down, we have witnessed another incredible game here which people will be talking about for a long time but that first half, when crosses came in from the right-hand side, that it not what we are about.
"We have got to do better. Everyone can have a good look at themselves over the weekend and we come back in on Monday morning to go again."
Meanwhile, Parkinson has completed the signing of goalkeeper Liam Hall, who previously played for Bradford (Park Avenue).
The 18-year-old has joined until the end of the 2023-24 season with an option for an extension, and joins fellow new signing Luke McNicholas in bolstering the goalkeeping department.
