HE’S done it again!
Paul Mullin has won Wrexham’s Player of the Season award for a second year in a row.
Mullin has become just the fifth player in the club’s history to win back-to-back gongs.
As well as being voted Player of the Season by supporters, Mullin also claimed the Players’ Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer accolades.
Mullin scored 47 goals in all competitions, including 38 league strikes and nine in the FA Cup, as Wrexham enjoyed a record-breaking campaign culminating in the National League title and return to the Football League following a 15 year absence.
The 28-year-old was named in the National League team of the season and he also scooped the FA Cup golden ball award.
He follows current team-mate Luke Young, and former players Kevin Russell, Mike Williams and Gary Bennett, in winning the award in two consecutive seasons after receiving nearly 60 per cent of the supporter vote.
Elliot Lee was second following an impressive first campaign at The Racecourse, scoring 15 league and cup goals, while club captain Ben Tozer was third having started all 46 league games - and not missing a single minute.
Like Mullin, Lee and Tozer were included in the National League team of the season.
Striker Sam Dalby scooped the Young Player of the Season award.
Open to any player who made a first-team appearance in 2022-23 and was aged 22 or younger on the opening day, Dalby claimed the award after scoring eight goals in his debut season.
Ryan Barnett and Max Cleworth were second and third respectively.
Rosie Hughes is the Women’s Player of the Season for a second consecutive season.
The prolific striker was top goalscorer after finding the net 42 times in just 18 appearances.
Hughes – who was also named Genero Adran North Player of the Season – also set up Rebecca Pritchard for the goal that sealed promotion in the play-off final against Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Lili Jones was second and Del Morgan third, while Wrexham AFC Women’s Players’ Player of the Season was young defender Erin Lovett.
Amber Lightfoot added the Young Player of the Season award to her Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season gong, having scored 20 goals in 21 games.
