PHIL PARKINSON won't budge when it comes to his transfer strategy and is holding out for his top targets.
Wrexham clinched the National League title following a record-breaking 2022-23 campaign, returning to the Football League following a 15-year absence.
Although keen to strengthen his squad for the new League Two season which kicks-off with a home game against MK Dons on Saturday August 5, the Reds' boss does not need an influx of new signings and has put the emphasis on quality rather than quantity when it comes to recruitment.
With some players on his shopping list under contract elsewhere, Parkinson says talks have continued with their respective clubs.
There are no fresh faces through the door at The Racecourse just yet and he remains determined to land the targets he really wants.
"We have had a good look around, not just now but over the last few months," said Parkinson, who will welcome his players back for pre-season training tomorrow.
"We have been monitoring players at all levels and obviously we have got a target list.
"We have got to try and get the players at the top of that list.
"We have touched base with a few clubs in the last week or two.
"We know the players we'd like and we are going to try and get those players as we feel they can improve us.
"If not, we are more than happy with the squad we have got."
