HOLLYWOOD star Will Ferrell was in attendance as Wrexham beat Wealdstone 3-1 at The Racecourse to go back to the top of the National League.
Paul Mullin scored his 30th goal of the season in the first half while Jacob Mendy and substitute Sam Dalby found the back of the net after the break as Phil Parkinson's side replaced Notts County as leaders on goal difference.
The Reds also had a game in hand, although the Magpies faced Chesterfield in the tea-time match and had the chance to return to the summit.
Parkinson made six changes from the side that started the 3-1 FA Cup fourth round replay defeat at Sheffield United in midweek when the Reds' boss freshened up the team and rested some his regulars.
Mark Howard, Tom O'Connor, Eoghan O'Connell, Callum McFadzean, Elliot Lee and Ollie Palmer came back into the side in place of Rob Lainton, Max Cleworth, Harry Lennon, Jacob Mendy, Andy Cannon and Dalby.
Anthony Forde, Ben Tozer, James Jones, Luke Young and Mullin were the players who kept their places as the Reds resumed the automatic promotion push.
Wealdstone made good start to the game and were eager to get the ball down, play football and have a go at Wrexham.
A neat pass by Palmer found Mullin who was put through on goal but harshly adjudged to be in an offside position
Neither side created a chance in the opening half-hour with the Stones having the first sight of goal when Tarryn Allarakhia's low drive from outside the area was well saved by Howard.
However, Wrexham took the lead after 40 minutes.
Lee sent in a dangerous cross and Mullin, who had plenty of space, found the back of the net with a header despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Sam Howes.
Wrexham suddenly had more opportunities to show for their efforts with Young's drive taking a deflection and Tozer also firing wide when the resulting corner eventually dropped for him.
Palmer and Lee failed to hit the target with shots from good positions and it remained 1-0 at the break.
Parkinson made a double change for the start of the second half with Cleworth and Mendy replacing O'Connor and McFadzean respectively.
Lee headed wide when the action resumed but Wealdstone levelled in the 51st minute.
Allarakhia looked to be offside when he raced onto a long ball but it wasn't given and the midfielder rounded Howard before slotting home.
However, Wrexham reclaimed the lead three minutes later.
Palmer's cross fell to Mendy just outside the area and the left wing-back smashed the ball past Howes with his right foot.
Wrexham continued to press and Forde's blocked shot fell to Palmer whose effort was also blocked and the striker also headed wide from Young's corner.
Wealdstone's task was made harder when they were left with 10 men when Max Kretzschmar was shown a second yellow with seven minutes remaining.
Wrexham killed the game off with a minute to go.
Jones' shot was parried by Howes and Dalby, who had only just come on for Mullin, was on hand to slot into the net.
Dalby saw another effort tipped over the bar and it was a job well done by the Reds.
