TWO brilliant strikes by Ben Tozer and Elliot Lee gave Wrexham a deserved 2-0 victory against Eastleigh at The Silverlake Stadium.
Rob McElhenney was in the stands to see his club maintain the promotion push with another win, as Tozer and Lee both struck in the first half.
Co-owners McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds were back in Wrexham on Friday and met the King and Queen Consort on a visit to celebrate its new city status.
The players were also present and they turned on the style against Eastleigh to extend the unbeaten run to 14 games in all competitions and keep title-chasing Wrexham second in the National League, one point behind leaders Notts County.
Parkinson made one change from the side that started the 1-1 draw against York City the previous weekend.
Tom O'Connor, who gave Wrexham the lead when he came off the substitutes bench at The LNER Stadium, took over in midfield from James Jones.
New signing Andy Cannon, another new signing who on Friday completed the switch to The Racecourse from Championship outfit Hull City, was not involved.
Just 45 seconds had gone when Paul Mullin went close for Wrexham with a shot that fell just wide of the post.
JJ McKiernan failed to hit the target at the other end before the Reds had another sight of goal but Callum McFadzean fired over the bar.
Wrexham, enjoying a good spell, were well on top and deserved to take the lead in the 18th minute.
Luke Young laid the ball off to Tozer who curled the ball past keeper Joe McDonnell from just inside the area.
Eastleigh almost equalised when McKiernan struck the top of the crossbar while Ryan Hill saw a low drive comfortably saved by Reds' goalkeeper Mark Howard.
Wrexham were playing some superb football and got into some excellent positions.
Young fired into the side-netting and Lee's deflected effort went out for a corner which came to nothing.
But Wrexham made it 2-0 in first half injury-time.
Aaron Hayden fed Lee who found the back of the net with a brilliant dipping strike from just outside the area.
It was no more than Wrexham deserved and a third goal almost arrived at the start of the second half but O'Connor's free-kick found the side-netting.
Lee also ran at goal but his low shot went wide while the playmaker came close to scoring another spectacular goal but his volley was tipped over the bar by McDonald.
Wrexham continued to press and Mullin came sliding in at the back post but just could not convert a low cross as the ball fell wide while Hayden headed wide from Young's corner.
