PAUL MULLIN is satisfied with Wrexham's start to the season but the striker wants a bigger points return from the next five games.

Phil Parkinson's men have taken 10 points from a possible 15, picking up three wins and draw with a solitary defeat coming at Chesterfield.

Although happy enough with the tally, leading scorer Mullin wants even more points from the upcoming five matches which begin with tonight's clash against Gateshead at The Racecourse.

"We want to win every game so it could be better," said Mullin, who has scored four goals so far including a hat-trick in the 5-0 thrashing of Maidstone in the last home fixture.

"It is not a bad start to the season but we always want to improve and get better, make sure we concede less goals and score more goals, and pick up more points.

"That will be the aim going into the next five games."

Parkinson, who saw his side beat Woking 3-2 on Saturday to make it two wins in a row, feels Wrexham are heading in the right direction.

"We scored a lot a lot of goals last week and we scored three on Saturday," said Parkinson.

"We have won three, drawn one and lost one so that's a decent start for us.

"Of course we would love to have won them all but we haven't.

"But it is a good building block to take us forward."

Parkinson is looking for a repeat of the performance against Maidstone when Wrexham take on Gateshead, another newly promoted side.

"We will get the gameplan right for Gateshead," added Parkinson.

"People said Maidstone weren't that good but we made them look poor with the manner of our display, and that is what we are looking for on Tuesday at a packed Racecourse; a front-foot performance where we really put the opposition under pressure."
