JORDAN DAVIES says Wrexham won't give up on clinching automatic promotion while it is still mathematically possible.
Phil Parkinson's side beat Altrincham 4-0 on Monday to extend the unbeaten run to 15 games in all competitions.
The second placed Reds are seven points behind National League leaders Stockport County and both teams have six games remaining.
The title rivals meet at The Racecourse on Sunday May 8 with County's run-in much tougher on paper, and Davies says Wrexham still believe they can finish top of the table.
"We are definitely the top two teams in the league and hopefully we can finish top," said Davies.
"We will chase Stockport down until the very last day.
"Stockport have got some tough sides to play - Halifax, Chesterfield and us - so they have got a tough run-in.
"The belief is still there."
Stockport suffered a first league defeat since December when they lost 2-1 at Grimsby Town last Friday but the Hatters bounced back by beating high-flying Solihull Moors 1-0 on Monday.
Paddy Madden scored a stoppage time winner for Stockport but Davies had no complaints having seen Wrexham bag a number of last-gasp goals this season to complete comebacks.
"How many times have we scored late on," said Davies.
"We can't complain; take your medicine and keep looking after ourselves.
"If they drop enough points that we can catch them then so be it but if they don't, as long as we win every game then we can't have any complaints."
Victory against Altrincham completed a run of seven successive home games, with Wrexham picking up six wins and a draw.
Parkinson's men now have two away games in a row, with Saturday's trip to Woking, which is being screened live on BT Sport, followed by next Tuesday's clash at Weymouth.
"I can't remember what it feels like to play away!" added Davies.
"We will look after business down south and then come back to The Racecourse the weekend after.
"Woking away on the television is a good chance for us to put another sign out there and no doubt Stockport will be watching on the way back from their game."
