PHIL PARKINSON has welcomed a free week before continuing the title challenge with an Easter double-header.
Wrexham twice came from behind to beat Eastleigh 3-2 on Saturday with Paul Mullin bagging a last-gasp winner from the penalty spot to extend the unbeaten run to 13 games.
The second placed Reds remain eight points behind leaders Stockport County, and both teams have eight games left in the race for automatic promotion.
The run-in continues with Friday's home game against promotion rivals Solihull Moors and Wrexham are back at The Racecourse for the visit of Altrincham next Monday, and Parkinson is pleased there isn't a midweek fixture before those matches.
"We have just got to take stock of everything this week," said Parkinson.
"We had a good week in terms of three wins and now a bit of a refresh this week.
"Just get a bit of calmness in the group and look how we are going to approach the Easter fixtures.
"I am pleased we haven't got a midweek game, mentally and physically it is a good week for us to switch off a little bit.
"Keep the standards high in training but just review the performances and go into a really strong Easter.
"I am looking forward to time on the training ground this week with the lads, and getting ready for what is going to be a terrific Easter."
Nearly 9,200 supporters saw Wrexham eventually clinch another win against Eastleigh despite not being at their best.
Parkinson praised fans for once again turning up in big numbers but the Reds' boss is not taking the tremendous backing for granted.
"It is important we keep giving people value for money," said Parkinson.
"It is tough at the moment, the cost of living is expensive and we know that; we understand that as a group.
"It is important people spend their hard earned cash and get rewarded with honest endeavour.
"You can never guarantee a win because sometimes you have got things which go against you but what you can guarantee is honest endeavour, and I feel we are giving that."
