JORDAN DAVIES is grateful for the support he and his family have received from Wrexham''s famous owners following the tragic death of their baby during childbirth.
The midfielder and his partner Kelsey Edwards lost their stillborn son, who they named Arthur Andrew Davies, last month.
To show their appreciation to the team at the Butterfly Suite at Wrexham Maelor Hospital that supported them, the couple set up a fundraising page in aid of Sands (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society).
Hollywood stars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, who completed their takeover at The Racecourse last February, and their actress wives Kaitlin Olson and Blake Lively have donated £10,000 and Davies thanked them for their support at a traumatic time.
"Throughout the process since when they first saw it they have been great," said Davies, who has signed a new contract keeping him at his hometown club until June 2025.
"They have dropped me and Kelsey private messages, they have sent things to the house and we can't thank them enough.
"They have let us know if there is anything we wanted and then to top it all off, they have donated to a charity that is going to be very close to our hearts for the rest of our lives.
"We are really grateful to Rob and Ryan, and Blake and Kaitlin for that, we can't thank them enough."
