THE Cymru Premier fixture schedule is in chaos as a result of the country’s 'firebreak' lockdown.
The Welsh Government’s announcement, the ‘elite programme’ in Wales has been suspended during the forthcoming lockdown, scheduled from Friday until November 9.
This status allowed the Cymru Premier to continue with strict return to play protocols and matches played behind closed doors.
Clubs - thought to be Connah’s Quay Nomads, The New Saints, Bala Town and Haverfordwest County - that have sportspeople who work and earn a living through sport are allowed to continue behind closed doors and all participants are there in a working capacity.
The New Saints versus Haverfordwest is the only game set to go ahead this weekend with a statement adding: “Some member clubs, understandably, didn’t feel that they had enough off-field professional staff to fully meet the stated requirements during this difficult period and their position is fully respected.”
