WEST HAM UNITED v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
NICK HARRISON: Don’t know about the Special One,he’s the Lucky One landing this plum job. And what a game start with against a team who may also be looking for a new boss soon. 1-3
TOM NORRIS: It’s... Jose Mourinho. It came as a surprise to see the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ in at Spurs just hours after Pochettino departed. Life is never dull with Jose and he will want to get off to a winning start. 1-2
DAN HEALD: Baptism of fire for Mourinho, whose arrival could spark an upturn in Spurs’ fortunes. The Hammers have been poor and a defeat could heap more pressure on Pellegrini. 1-2
ARSENAL v SOUTHAMPTON
NH: The Gunners are goner come good at some time and here’s the perfect game for Ozil to show his real class, setting up one for Aubameyang and scoring another against the sorry Saints. 3-1
TN: If Arsenal don’t win this then Emery should walk away. The Saints are better away but this looks the ideal fixture for any side looking to get three points. Aubameyang will be licking his lips. 2-0
DH: A must-win for Unai Emery. Too many sub-par performances have left the Gunners faithful disillusioned. Aubameyang to hit the goal trail in a morale-boosting win. 3-1
BOURNEMOUTH v WOLVES
NH: Bournemouth are more conservative in their playing style while Wolves will always put in hard labour right until the final whistle. Draw written all over it. 1-1
TN: There’s just a single goal separating the teams in the table and it’s hard to see past the points being shared. Bournemouth grind out results and should do enough to grab a draw. 1-1
DH: Two well-coached teams who’ve made solid starts to their respective seasons. Wolves saw off Villa at a canter last time out and should have enough for an away point here. 1-1
BRIGHTON v LEICESTER CITY
NH: Any team would miss Mahrez and Kante but this Foxes side are on a par with the one that won the Premier League title. Won’t be easy at Brighton but Vardy will win it to make Rodgers jolly. 1-2
TN: Brighton have build their Premier League survival on solid home form, but if the Foxes mean business this term then this is a game they have to win. Vardy is rested and it would be no surprise to see him bag the winner. 0-1
DH: The Foxes look like the real deal this season and have the calibre to cement a top-four spot. This won’t be a cakewalk for them, but Vardy’s goal-threat allied with the supply line of Maddison and Tielemans make them favourites here. 0-2
CRYSTAL PALACE v LIVERPOOL
NH: Thought City would have struggled at Palace but they didn’t and can’t see Roy’s boys creating too many problems for Klopp’s title-chasers. Palace will score bu t Liverpool will score more. 1-3
TN: A prize for anyone correctly guessing how many times that infamous 3-3 draw in 2014 is mentioned. Selhurst Park has an image of being tough to visit, but Palace’s home form is mixed. Even if Salah is missing, Klopp’s men win this. 0-2
DH: Selhurst Park is always touted as one of the division’s toughest away days, but Liverpool have consistently found the winning knack in these types of games. Mane to make the telling difference in a tight victory. 1-2
EVERTON v NORWICH CITY
NH: You never quite know what Everton team turn up at home. But surely they can’t mess this one up? Richarlison could help himself to a couple. 3-0
TN: The fun and carefree Canaries have flown the nest and all that’s left is a long, hard slog to survive. Everton will be smelling blood and this looks a gift for Silva as he looks to lead the Toffees up the table. 3-0
DH: The Canaries risk being cut adrift if they fail to arrest their current slump. Everton’s timely win at Southampton last time out may have been a turning point for Marco Silva’s men. Richarlison to net in a comfortable home win. 3-1
WATFORD v BURNLEY
NH: Watford’s win at Norwich may have seen them turn the corner but Burnley’s Barnes and Wood aren’t bad and maybe England’s old number one, Foster, will be busier than Pope, the new man with the international gloves. 2-2
TN: Watford are yet to win at home, while Burnley have failed to pick up victory on the road, so this won’t be pretty. The Hornets are defensively fragile and Burnley’s direct approach could win it. 1-2
DH: Watford are starting to show they have the stomach for a relegation scrap. They’ll strive to bring some consistency to their home form and should dig out a point against the stubborn Clarets. 1-1
MANCHESTER CITY v CHELSEA
NH: The difference between these two teams is that Chelsea give youngsters - and good ones at that - a chance. City don’t do themselves any favours in that department. Chelsea are well capable of getting a point and I hope they do. 2-2
TN: One not to miss. Frank’s gung-ho Blues have been a revelation this season, especially on the road, while City need to get their season back on track with a morale-boosting win. Mahrez and Jesus could be the men for Pep. 4-2
DH: The game of the weekend. Chelsea have generally been excellent in Lampard’s first months in charge and will go to City with no fear. Pep will know that any further slip-ups could effectively hand Liverpool the title though. Sterling and De Bruyne to inspire a home win. 3-2
SHEFFIELD UNITED v MANCHESTER UNITED
NH: No Fear is The Blades motto this season but which side of The Pennines will be celebrating tomorrow evening. United turn corners and then run into roadblocks so don’t rule out another surprise. 2-1
TN: Manchester United’s away form doesn’t make kind reading for Ole, who will know what his side can expect at Bramall Lane. The Blades are due a draw at home this term after three wins and three defeats and Wilder’s men will continue to impress. 1-1
DH: The Blades’ no-fear approach to life in the top-flight has paid dividends so far. Resilient and well-disciplined, I expect them to contain United for long periods but the visitors’ superior finishing quality may edge it for them. 1-2
ASTON VILLA v NEWCASTLE UNITED
NH: Brucie’s back in town and if he plays his cards right he could be walking away with three bonus points. If his defenders can teach the attackers to score, its a Magpies’ victory. 1-3
TN: The pre and post-match analysis will be centred on events elsewhere with the 90 minutes probably proving an inconvenience to most MNF viewers. Newcastle have found a formula with Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin an eye-catching pair. 1-2
DH: Three successive defeats have hit Villa’s resurgence hard. Newcastle have dug deep to boost their own survival hopes and former Villa boss Bruce should be applauded. Expect a tight affair to end honours even. 1-1
SCORES SO FAR: Dan Heald 92, Nick Harrison 86, Tom Norris 81
